With a Masters degree in Educational Leadership and Development, Richard has an excellent record in leadership.

He has been Headteacher of two schools, a middle school in Northumberland and a large primary school with enhanced provision for SEMH in North Yorkshire. Richard has worked with schools nationally and internationally to develop thinking skills pedagogies.

In his work with leadership teams across Europe, Asia, the USA and Australia he supported organisational and curriculum change at school and district level through coaching, thinking skills and enquiry across the curriculum. With a postgraduate degree in psychotherapy, Richard uses his expertise to coach organisations to shift their thinking, stimulate fresh insight and open up new possibilities.

As a school improvement officer, Richard is committed to developing outstanding teaching and learning across North Tyneside schools through creativity, challenge, assessment and leadership, so that all students can flourish.
