Julie is a qualified teacher and has a BA (Hons) in Music.
She has extensive experience in middle and senior leadership in both music specialist and primary settings. As an Advisor, Julie supports schools in curriculum development and standards.
As hub lead, she has worked with local regional and national partners to develop new initiatives which ensure equity, inclusion and diversity. Julie has worked as a professional musician for many years in both amateur and professional circuits. She is passionate about developing music opportunities for all young people.
Julie is the North East representative for ‘Music Mark’ the national body who build connections within and beyond the music education ecosystem, and influence music education policy and practice across the UK.
