Souzy is a qualified primary school teacher with experience working in mainstream and special primary settings.

She has completed additional training such as the NASENDCo award and the NPQLBC. With a background as an experienced SENDCo and a particular interest in SEMH, Mental Health and wellbeing, Souzy has joined Education North Tyneside as a School Improvement Advisor for Inclusion, and as a member of the School Support Team.

Souzy’s interests include supporting pupils who are experiencing trauma related barriers to education, working with schools to create inclusive environments for SEND learners and strategic use of resources to support children’s educational and emotional needs. Souzy is leading the current cohort of schools accessing the Mental Health Universal offer.
