Paul joined the Governor Support Team in October 2018 having served as a Police Officer in Northumbria Police for 27 years.

Prior to that Paul taught Geography and PE at the Royal Grammar School Newcastle. Paul is a graduate of the University of Newcastle where he graduated with a degree in Geography. Paul completed a PGCE in 1986/87

Paul has been a Foundation Governor for two federated schools in Northumberland for 26 years. He is currently enjoying his second spell as Chair a post which he has held for the last 8 years
