The use of technology is listed as one of the ‘Five-a-day’ principles by The EEF (Education Endowment Foundation) and as a result of the pandemic schools have access to more 1:1 devices and rely more heavily on ICT (information and communications technology) systems than ever before.

The computing team will support school leaders to unpack the impact of technology as below.

Audit of technology use across teaching in all areas, reviewing

  • Uses across departments or by individuals.
  • Potential areas of good practice or areas for development.
  • Costs.

Management of devices or packages including CPD (continuing professional development) needs. Identify where practice is strong leading to better outcomes for students and plan how this practice can be implemented across

  • All phases.
  • Other subjects.
  • More departments.
  • Review the impact of the implementation and plan how to embed the practice.
