Establishing a PLC (professional learning community) in your school is an integral component of school improvement.

PLCs are an ongoing process which will support you in establishing a school wide culture based on building teacher leadership in school improvement efforts. Through participation in PLCs, teachers enhance their leadership capacity as they work as members of ongoing, high-performing, collaborative teams that focus on student learning.

PLCs are designed to allow professionals to come together in a group – a community – to learn through action research. These workshops will equip you with the resources and knowledge you need to design a process which will improve the skills and knowledge of your staff through collaborative study, expertise exchange and professional dialogue.

Our PLC series is delivered in 4 action-learning cycles that are designed to build a culture focussed on continuous improvement, by linking the learning needs of students with the professional learning and practice of teachers. Workshops create stimulus for thinking, provide tools for evaluation and plans for action. Gaps of 4 weeks between the sessions allow you time to implement your plans through an evidence based and data driven approach.
