Alex is a qualified teacher and holds the National Programme for Specialist Leaders of Behaviour and Attendance award, a P.G.Certificate in Autism and Aspergers Syndrome and is a MHFA England Youth Mental Health First Aid trainer and a NCETM accredited professional development lead.

She has extensive experience in leading Secondary Mathematics in mainstream and alternative provision and as an Assistant Headteacher in an alternative provision. Alex is an experienced provider of conference, whole school and departmental CPD.

As a school improvement advisor Alex has an excellent record of support and challenge with subject leads to develop their leadership skills and their curriculum and also working collaboratively with schools to audit their SEND provision. She is passionate about inclusion and specialises in mathematics curriculum and pedagogy, subject leadership, mental health, SEND and cognitive science.
