Emma is a qualified teacher who was a phase and subject leader in a two-form entry primary school.

As an experienced advisor, she has a significant track record of supporting practitioners and headteachers.

Within her role she leads on mathematics, indoor and outdoor learning environments, self-regulation, embedding positive learning behaviours and supporting vulnerable learners in the early years.

She delivers a range of sessions on the outstanding North Tyneside School Centred Initial Teacher Training programme. She has worked with academics and authors, writing books about teaching practice and developing learning materials for various publications and has worked as an advisor to the Education Endowment Fund on 2 National Strategies: ‘The Early Years Toolkit’, and ‘Improving Mathematics in the Early Years and key stage 1’

Emma is passionate about translating research into real world classroom practice and provision.
