Kathleen has extensive experience of school governance and holds a Level 3 qualification in Clerking Governing Bodies.

Kathleen was appointed as the Governor Services Coordinator in 2015 to lead the team that offers clerking, advice, support and a comprehensive training programme for governing bodies across North Tyneside, and neighbouring schools.

Kathleen is a member of GoverNorth, a regional group of LA Governor Services Coordinators that supports good governance through sharing good practice, developing shared resources and providing professional support amongst regional colleagues.

Kathleen was elected by the group to represent the North East region at a national level and is a member of the National Coordinators of Governor Services (NCOGS) which supports the delivery of high-quality services to governors and ensures effective governance in schools across the country. 15

Kathleen and her team are members of the National Governance Association and regularly keep up to date with changes to legislation and regulations via team briefings, training sessions and meetings.
