Laura has 10 years’ experience working in education settings.
This was initially in learning support roles, supporting young people with special education needs and disabilities, to more recently playing an integral role in the PE & Sport; School Sport team, developing school 11 sport provision across the borough.
Laura delivers on the national School Games programme as a School Games Organiser inspiring young people to be physically active for life through positive experiences of daily physical activity and competitive extracurricular opportunities.
Her work aims to complement that which is offered through the PE curriculum by supporting schools to prioritise and deliver 60 active minutes, provide targeted opportunities for young people and enable young people to develop skills through sports leadership and volunteering.
Laura is committed to supporting schools to enhance young people’s physical literacy, social, emotional and physical wellbeing.
