Rebecca Sowden is a qualified teacher with a range of leadership experience and a background in early years leadership and school improvement.

As a school improvement advisor for early years, Rebecca provides guidance for developing language-rich learning environments that prioritise early language and communication development. She leads on the Reading Framework and its implications, offering effective support and training regarding phonics and Launchpad for Literacy.

Rebecca provides information about school-based experience of Ofsted Inspection and has extensive experience of delivering Talk4Writing and its potential across the curriculum. She has enjoyed subject leadership in History, Geography and Careers.

Her recent early years leadership role involved implementing the revised EYFS framework and developing action plans in response to the Reading Framework. Rebecca has a passion for developing early language through meaningful contexts.
