What will we provide?
By purchasing any of these packages of support you will be entitled to:
- Annual partnership meeting with a Senior School improvement Officer.
- Annual support plan.
- Regular network meetings and teach meets (except where networks are part of a separate SLA).
- Headteacher recruitment support.
- Data pack.
- Each of the three themed packages include 18 hours of officer support with/in your school.
- Our themed packages of support provide a bespoke partnership approach and there are pre-planned support projects available to choose from.
How will the new SLA structure function?
As you will see from the above diagram, the proposed new structure provides three themed packages of support for our schools:
This structure aims to meet the needs which headteachers and business managers articulated during our review; and allow for more sustained and targeted support on development packages which are a common theme for our schools.
When a school purchases a themed package of support, they are entitled to an annual partnership meeting with a Senior School Improvement Officer. From this meeting a bespoke annual support plan will be developed to include extended themed participatory support packages with defined end points and agreed impact measures for whole school change.
Each package includes 18 hours of targeted officer support with the school, to provide insight, expertise, challenge and impact. Schools purchasing any of the packages of support will also be entitled to attend regular network meetings and teach meets.
In addition, schools will be able to purchase standalone service level agreements including: computing, connexions, early career teachers, educational psychology, governor support, North Tyneside music education hub, PE, school sport and physical activity, ready for school, safeguarding training and school websites.
What will this mean for our schools?
- A more bespoke, consultative partnership with Education North Tyneside.
- Clear support offers which align with school, local, regional and national priorities
- An offer which evolves year-on-year to meet need
- Outcomes-focussed support packages with clear intent and impact assessment to evidence return on investment
What is the cost of the new SLA offer?
The core themed packages of support and school development partner programme (SDP) will be operating on a flat rate charging model that reflects cost of delivery.
Each package will cost £3150.00 per annum and the annual charge for SDP will also be £3150.00. If your school requires support in a number of themed areas schools are able to make multiple purchases.
